Soul Survivor

I am reading Soul Survivor by Yancey. Great book. He is a church survivor like me. He covers people that helped him survive, those he read or reflected on and those directly involved in his life. One thing he said has resonated with me,
" If I had to define my own theme, it would be that of a person who absorbed some of the worst the church has to offer, yet still landed in the loving arms of God."
It took Yancey a while to reach the point of landing. At this point I only hope I will land. I believe I will, and I have people around me trying to help me land.
