20 minutes with a high schooler from China
So I got to spend 20 minutes with a student who is an exchange student from China. He became a Christian last year when he was visiting here. He desires very strongly to be a preacher one day and save his nation. He told me that he recently had an opportunity to talk to his peers at school in chapel and ask them, why do you take your walks with God for granted? Why dont you worship God? Why dont you read the Bible? How can you follow God if you dont read the Bible. He told me how he emailed with friends back home about becoming Christians. He told me that he would try to talk them out of it! Kind of interesting right? Well his point was that he wanted them to understand what they were getting themselves into. He has big plans for his future, but has also told God that he is a willing vessel.
What a cool 20 minutes to have a little God passion pushed into my veins.
Interesting thing is, he was picked by the students as homecoming king this year. Pretty cool, huh?!
